The Hanayama Cross Puzzle is made up of two pieces that must be disassembled and then reassembled. The two pieces are restricted in movement by a variety of angles and protrusions. All movements can be used to solve the puzzle - vertical, horizontal, diagonal, and rotational. The cast Cross Puzzle was designed by Edi Nagata.
