The infamous Towers of Hanoi Puzzle was first brought to public attention by mathematicians in 1883 and is still featured in popular culture and academic challenges today! The object is simple; the puzzler must switch each stack of rings from one side’s pole to the opposite pole. However, there are two basic rules that complicate things. The first - only one disc can be moved at a time; the second - at no time can a larger disc be placed on a smaller one, the bottom disc must always be larger. The round discs vary in size, and are ordered from smallest to largest at the beginning. There are many interesting ways to complete the challenge, and once you figure it out you can consider yourself an expert mathematician! Afterwards, try altering the difficulty level by switching the number of rings used. The simplest solution for 7 rings takes “only” 127 moves, the simplest solution for 9 rings takes 196 moves, and some solutions take several hundreds of moves!

This vintage, handmade version of the classic game comes with a quality, wooden box to store the parts for safekeeping. You can proudly display the towers as a tasteful art piece as well!
